A lot of things made my day today, but this picture of Maoist insurgents in Nepal topped the list:

gah! this post certainly pushes my buttons ! Of course, this comrade almost certainly has no idea who Britney Spears is. The CPN(M) rightly bans the culture of the oppressor class and tries to agency of the peasants as the makers of their own, new culture.

that should have said ‘give agency to the peasants’

I’m not sure you caught the in-joke, which is specific to my blog, and doesn’t hinge on who knows what. It all started with the trotty slogan, “FOR THE UNCONDITIONAL MILITARY DEFENCE OF BRITNEY FROM SEXIST WITCH-HUNTS!”, which then led to a couple of graphics. As for the whacky cultural policies of the CPN(M), I’ve heard. But I have insider knowledge that suggests that the party’s utopian plans are doomed to utter failure, at least in that regard.

well, obviously I did miss that joke. In that I’d forgotten about that material.

I am sceptical as to this ‘insider knowledge’ of yours – are you saying that you have a direct line to the internal politics of the CPN(M)?

oh, i saw that in the paper, and immediately thought of you!

  6. March 26, 2006

Liz, the Britneyist International has arranged that to be the case.

Mark: do not question TEH INSIDER KNOWLEDGE!

not to be predictable or anything, but FUCK YEAH!!!

I just can’t get over how hot this chick in the t-shirt is. I mean, her face is a bit robust for my taste, but she’s literally “put Britney’s face” on her (frankly stacked) body.

That national bolshevism shit is whack.

That national bolshevism shit is weird. The national bolsheviks are the main force of resistance to Putin in Russia, and the people pushing issues like freedom of expression and anti-corruption, and to some extent even the rights of minorities, within a nationalistic/fascist framework. Which means they’re the number one magnet for disaffected rebel youth.
