everyday life was right

Compensation for my dodgy Magneto Was Right t-shirt getting (predictably) kicked off Cafepress: someone put me into Wikipedia, in an entry called (get this) “Everyday Life in the Marvel Universe“. Thanks, 205.188.117.12!

Is the image really creative commons not copyright of Marvel? Presumably Cafepress didn’t think so, but I hate them for removing all my rad merchandise and don’t think they have a fucking clue.

I’ve slapped an unreferenced tag on that article for good measure.

Well, I’ve stated numerous times that I nicked the design from Frank Quitely, so I don’t see why anyone’d assume it was CC :)

Actually, I’m really starting to think that that image shouldn’t be there. If it is the same image as in the comix, then it’s legal as fair use in this context. If it isn’t, then it’s straight irrelevant. . .not that I don’t love your work jebs, nor that I could care less about the possible copyvio.

Yeah, I dunno, I think the idea is that it was a everyday life Marvel universe artifact that actually existed in the world, but that wasn’t explicitly mentioned. It would make more sense to at least include a panel featuring the slogan in context.
