So, what and where should I study? I live in Sydney. I have a plain vanilla BA, majoring in Fine Arts (Art History) and English Literature — all the wank of cultural studies, but without the rigour of its disciplinary antecedents. I’ve been a practising print/web designer for the last eight years. My interests should be semi-evident from this blog. I want to do/make actual, practical stuff and also create critique. I’ve got some ideas for disciplines and courses, but I’d love to hear yours. Suggestions, anyone?
you’d be living my dreams by doing this… but i think that architecture is what you should study.
btw. i’ll be in sydney for one night only on the 15th of may before returning to adelaide and starting in the world of games programming. i’ll be having dinner somewhere. It would be great if you guys could come along.

Hey, I reckon Ben should be a rockstar. Free mind enhancing substances, huge amounts of adoration by crazy people and being followed around by papparazzi … Rockstar all the way! He can sing too.

heh. snap. (on the BA). certainly set me up for life.
know nothing about courses in sydney, annoyingly enough, but would suggest, if there are ones around a v.broad visual art/culture MA… there’s certainly things like that in the UK that require/encourage theory/praxis/practice…
Weirdly, my MA – Art History- was pretty much like that. but it was a surprise to most people.
Screw it.
